When I hit mine a few years ago, I truly thought I wouldn’t make it through.

I drank too much…
I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day…
I was three sizes larger than I felt comfortable in…
I was exhausted, disillusioned, and drowning in a high-end corporate world that felt cold, greedy, and soulless.

I was a mess — and I knew it.

And then, everything changed.

I adopted a black cat.
My saving light.
My companion.
My Cleopatra.

She grounded me. She softened me. She inspired me. She reconnected me with a version of myself I thought was gone forever. I never imagined how profoundly one little creature could transform my entire existence.

Alongside this transformation, I have always been deeply inspired by female camaraderie — the fierce, loyal sisterhood we see in stories like She Devil and The First Wives Club.
That kind of unwavering support… that’s the energy I wanted to bring into real life for real women.

And so, The Black Cat Club was born:
A warm, empowering refuge where women come together to share joy, sadness, growth, laughter, and everything in between — and to hold one another gently through it all.

And then something unexpected happened:
I adopted a little black kitten.

That tiny creature pulled me back into myself in the most magical, tender, and empowering way.

Founded by me, Nina Moon, a comfort-creator who found unexpected courage and joy through a small black cat in 2020, the Black Cat Club was born from a simple dream:
to build a haven where women feel held, understood, and uplifted through the chapters of life that shake us, shape us, and strengthen us.
