An Ethiopian woman writes a cookbook that carries her culture's culinary wisdom to the world. Her friend — a German woman who built a career across the world's most iconic hotels — is building a platform for women everywhere. They found each other at the Loews Regency San Francisco. This is what women do for each other when no one is watching.

Nina's note: Lula was one of the first people to believe in Nina Moon before it had a name. Her cookbook is a love letter to Ethiopian culture and cuisine — and she is one of the most genuinely warm, gifted, and inspiring women I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
